The iOS 18 comes with new features that will transform the look and feel of iPhone Operating System. One of the major new options for this year is the option to modify the color of the home screen’s application shortcuts. In general, the iPhone’s new user interface will contain a lot of settings for customization.

On the same note, several of the applications that are contained in Apple devices have been redesigned or at least updated. Specifically, Apple’s Messages app will get the capability to send and receive RCS messages, which enhance standard SMS messages or the so-called green bubbles for some iPhone users.

The update is available for all iPhones launched in the market in the year 2018 specifically the iPhone Xr, SE (2nd Generation), iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max. It is available in Setting > Genera > Software Update where you can download it.

These are a few of the major adjustments:

  • The home screen can now be customized by moving icons to any position on the screen. For instance, it is now possible to dock our applications only at the edge of the screen or put a single application in the center of the screen.
  • Users are able to customize the icon on the apps and change it to the dark theme or any color that he or she prefers.
  • Apple has added new pages to the Control Center menu of shortcuts and options to the settings.
  • The Messages app now has a bold and italic feature and users can now reply to the messages with emotions in the form of emojis as opposed to earlier where one could only use a question mark, an exclamation mark, a heart or a thumbs up.
  • The supported devices will be able to send texts via satellite, if there is no Wi-Fi.
  • This new update also has a new Apple app known as Passwords which has the capability of saving and even creating strong passwords.
