I like to have a small, sleek laptop, but sometimes I just want to plug in the charging cable of my phone or use a USB-A receiver to unify my mouse and external keyboard. When it comes to tech, it’s never fun to be in that awkward intermediate stage. My laptop uses USB-C, my phone uses USB-A and a proprietary connector, my monitor uses something completely different, and heaven forbid that something like a microSD card should be plugged in. It’s time to get a USB-C hub if these scenarios sound familiar.
The HooToo 6-in-1 USB-C Hub is a solution that works for most consumers, and today at Amazon it will drop from $39.99 to $19.99 when you first clip the coupon on its product page and then apply 6FDJWZR6 code during checkout. It’s the best deal we’ve seen.
This USB-C hub 6-in-1 is compatible with USB-C laptops of all kinds. It features a charging port, a 4 K HDMI port, a slot for SD cards and three 3.0 ports for USB-A. 100W Power Delivery is also available, so the hub can support pass-through charging. For most customers, the ports are the perfect combination. A Logitech Unifying Receiver, a phone charging cable, and a flash drive can be used easily at the same time. With an 18-month warranty, the manufacturer supports your new product, and there are also plenty of positive customer reviews.
I’ve got this brand’s hub, and I love it. Every day, I use it, and it doesn’t get too hot, nor is connecting slow. My one gripe is that somewhat wonky is the design. I frequently move my computer around, and sometimes the heavier end of my hub can partially slip out of the Thunderbolt port of my MacBook. It doesn’t happen often, but it may be something to keep in mind if you work on the go. The hub also has a glowing light, but if I use my laptop in the dark, I just turn over the hub and have the light facing down. Connectivity FTW is reversible! Note that none of the issues would prevent me from buying the product again, nor should it dissuade you.
