I got the TP-Link Tapo Matter Outdoor Smart Plug (P400M) a couple of weeks ago now, and I have been easily controlling my outdoor electronics. Both of the outlets are independent and thus it becomes very easy to operate my garden lights and my water fountain at different times and with different durations without having to switch anything around. The cherry on top is the fact that we can manage everything with your Apple Home, Alexa or Google Home account. I have also taken my time to schedule it and even program it through voice commands making it very easy.
However, what caught my eye was its, IP65 weather resistance. Being in a region that is endowed with frequent rain showers, I had to settle for an umbrella that would offer me fully coverage for the rainy season. The Tapo smart plug also remains in a perfect condition up to now, and there is no longer any problem with the plugs getting wet or even damaged. This is perhaps one of the benefits I would highly consider having something this durable outsides; the kind of peace of mind that comes with it.

Sometimes my router is located very far from my backyard but was still able to experience very fast and smooth connectivity. Yet another advantage that is worth mentioning is that the Tapo P400M is ETL certified, and that is why I do not have any concern regarding the product’s safety.
